Marilyn A Mozzi

Marilyn A. Mozzi, 80, of Rotterdam, died Monday September 2, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Marcel and Dorothy (Valendry) Roberts. A graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, Marilyn worked as an administrative assistant for Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory for 26 years before her retirement in 1992. Marilyn was a member of St. Gabriel's Church and a member of their women's group. She served as director of Birthright, and belonged to the Rotterdam Senior Center, Red Hat Society, the GE Quarter Century Club, and the Alzheimer's Association; she was also a volunteer for Hospice. Besides her parents, Marilyn is predeceased by her beloved husband, Lino Mozzi, her brother Robert L. Roberts and her sister Kathleen Conte. Survived by her children Sharon Lee Mozzi (Earl) of Albany, Robert Joseph Mozzi (Sharon) of Dalton, MA and Jill Marie Zucco (Gregory) of Franklin, MA, she is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Joseph Mozzi (Lauren), Matthew Mozzi, Nicholas Zucco and Matthew Zucco, and 2 step grandchildren, Gregory Zucco and Rachel Zucco, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 7, 2013 at 9:15AM at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Gabriel's Church, 3040 Hamburg St. Schenectady, NY 12303. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday evening, September 6 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be Thursday September 12, 2013 at 1PM at Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Road in Schuylerville.
