Maria A Stack

Maria A. Stack of Ruby, NY and formerly of VanVranken Avenue in Schenectady died Monday afternoon July 2nd at Kingston Hospital. Born in Johnstown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Concetta (Chillemi) Melita and a graduate of the College of St Rose. Maria worked for St Clares Hospital in Schenectady for 45 years and was the Director of Library Service in the Medical Library which she helped establish 1956. Maria was a member of the Sons of Italy, the PTA, the ladies auxiliary of the DAV and the Republican Women's. Maria was predeceased in 1993 by her husband Joseph J. Stack. She is survived by her children; Christopher B. Stack of Schenectady and Joseph P. Stack and wife Dora of Ruby, NY, five grandchildren; Christopher B. Stack Jr. ,Cassondra L.Stack, Benjamin P. Stack, Valerie A. Myers and Samantha E. Glass, two sisters; Josephine Marafiote of Fairview NJ and Nina Rindinello of Schenectady and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning July 7, 2007 at 8:15am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY followed at 9 am at St. Joseph's Church, Layette St., Schenectady where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm and evening from 7 to 9 pm. Interment in St Patrick's Cemetery, Johnstown, NY. Flowers or a contribution to a charity of choice in her memory would be greatly appreciated.
