Marguerite E Matarazzo (Ferguson)

It is with joy that Marguerite Matarazzo has joined her husband Salvatore in Heaven, into God's loving arms. The "Little Farmers" home has been at Ellis Residential Center for over 10 years. Born in Duanesburg, NY, Marguerite was the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Mae (Gifford) Ferguson. A homemaker, she was also predeceased by her husband of 52 years Salvatore W. Matarazzo who she married on February 28, 1941 and her siblings Whitney Ferguson and Charlotte McClaine. Marguerite was 100 years old and enjoyed participating in the activities at the Ellis Residential Center during her stay at the center. She is survived by her daughters: Kathleen Gallo (late Andrew) of Schenectady and Marlene Matarazzo (Elaine Grose) of PA., her grandchildren: Andrew (Kathy Jo) Gallo of Delanson, Jennifer Gallo (David Wagoner) of ME and Jaclyn (Ron) Paul of Rotterdam, great grandchildren: Salvatore Domenic, Owen, Madeline, Noah and Sophia and her sister's: Irma Peterson of Schenectady and Ethel Jean Krajewski of Duanesburg and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning June 8th at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 to 11 am prior to the service. Interment will be in Esperance Cemetery. Marguerite's family would like to thank the Nurses; Beasley, Jess, Andrea, Liz, Emilie, Nancy and Dr. K Bleser, her aides; Raj (Mom's aide for 10 years) Chandra, Brianna and the late Dawn, Recreational Therapy; Caitlyn, Edie and Vi and Pastoral Staff; Fr. Victor, Fr. Tony and Mary. and so many more staff members who became family to Mom.
