Margaret E Zubal

Margaret E. Zubal, 78, of Edinburg passed away Saturday December 8, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah (Swatling) Van Patten. She was the co-owner of Zubal's Market in Rotterdam for many years. Margaret was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Schenectady. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Hildebrand-Davis Post 1895 in Schenectady. Margaret is predeceased by her husband Fred Zubal whom she married October 28, 1956 and five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by two sons Fred Zubal ( Paulette) of Lake Luzerne and Brian Zubal of Edinburg , one daughter Debra Riggi (James Lawrence) of Edinburg, one sister Sarah Wilson of Schenectady, also survived by 8 grandchildren-Toni-Ann, Brian, Dennis, David, Jessica, Rayl, Douglas and Tyler, as well as 15 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 10:30AM at the Bond Funeral Home followed by a Service at 11AM at St. Paul the Episcopal Church 1911 Fairview Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Monday evening 6-8PM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
