Margaret Crim

January 31, 1916 — January 21, 2005

Margaret Rose Crim, 88, passed away on Friday January 21, 2005 at her home in Schenectady. The daughter of Morgan and Mildred Crapser, she was born on January 31, 1916 in Lawyersville, NY. The family then moved to Central Bridge, where she grew up on the family farm. Margaret graduated from Cobleskill High School, which she attended by train and then went on to Albany Business College. She met and married Ronald Crim in 1941, and they moved to the Bellevue section of Schenectady in 1946. Margaret was a keypunch operator for NYS, retiring in 1974. She was an active member of the Bellevue Reformed Church. Margaret was an organist on Sunday mornings, on the membership committee and in the Naomi Women's Circle. Margaret also volunteered at the S.I.C.M. food pantry. She and her husband enjoyed camping, fishing, snowmobiling and rock collecting. Margaret traveled extensively throughout the United States including Alaska and once to Europe. She was an avid reader her whole life, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of baking and gardening. Margaret is predeceased by her husband Ronald Crim who died in 1981, one son Dale Crim who died in 1993, her sister Elizabeth Brown who died in 2002.Survivors include a brother in law Roger Brown of Central Bridge, one nephew James Brown of Fultonham, NY and also survived by her dear friends Ned and Melanie Feldman and their children Jessica, Anna, Noah, Isaac and Eli and George and Phyllis Coppola. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. A Calling hour will be from 10-11AM prior to the service. Internment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands. Contributions can be made in Margaret's memory to Community Hospice 1411 Union Street Schenectady NY 12308.
