Mar Y T Zechner

Mary Theresa Zechner 91 died Thursday afternoon December 29, 2005 at her home in Schenectady after a long illness. Born in the home she passed away in, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Caruso) Califano and a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Mary worked for over 40 years for the MAQUA Company in Schenectady retiring as a wrapper. She was also a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She was predeceased in 1998 by her husband Richard J. Zechner who she married December 1. 1956. Mary was also predeceased by her sister Lena Califano in 1973 and her brother Jerry Califano in 2002. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Beverly Zechner , a brother-in-law, John Zechner and wife Agnes and a niece and caregiver, Barbara Carbo all of Rotterdam and several other nieces ,nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning January 3, 2006 at 8:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady followed at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant St. Schenectady where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hour will be held at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Contributions may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant Street, Schenectady, NY 12303
