Madeline E. Jackson. 90, a resident of the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since 2002 passed away quietly on June 4, 2006 While at Baptist she had received much appreciated excellent care. Born in Schenectady March 20, 1916 to Edward and Mabel Selke, Mickey was a life long resident of Schenectady County, domiciled in the city of Schenectady, towns' of Rotterdam and Glenville. Mickey had 5 brothers and two sisters. Mickey was married to George J. Jackson for 43 years prior to his death on September 19, 1980.The couple had two sons, Lance R. Jackson of Glenville and Dean G. Jackson, Dean passed away May 16, 1996.Mickey is survived by her son Lance and his wife Roberta, granddaughter Heather and her husband Brent Feuz and granddaughter Tiffanie Jackson. Daughter-in-Iaw Ann Jackson, grandsons Brian Jackson, Robert Palma, and great granddaughter Amanda Palma. Grand daughter Laura Ann Palma passed away in 1979 .Other survivors include her sister Beatrice Hamlin of Turlock, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.Mickey was a co-owner of LS&G an engraving and printing firm she operated with her son Dean who assumed ownership upon er retirement.During her life time Mickey was a Cub Scout Den Mother, member of her son's school PTA's, Ladies Pass Time Bowling league, Glendale Home Auxiliary, and with her husband they were members of The Winter Dance Group.Mickey often raised money for a number of charities. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning June 7, 2006 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady. Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 8 to 10 am prior to the funeral serviceMemorial contributions can be made to:The Glendale Home Auxiliary, Northeast Parent & Child Society, Boy's and Girls Club of Schenectady, Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center or a charity of the donor's choice.
