Mabel Helen Regels (O'Shea)

Mabel Helen Regels,91, of Schenectady passed away on Wednesday morning September 18th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

Born and educated in Jersey City, NJ, Mabel was the daughter of the late James and Mabel (Flint) O'Shea.

A life long waitress, Mabel worked in many restaurants in the area including the Crosstown Diner and Sambo's Restaurant over her career.

A devoted wife, mother,grandmother and great grandmother, Mabel loved playing card games with her family, bingo and dancing. She will be greatly missed by all who new her.

Predeceased by her granddaughter-in-law, Krystal Regels, Mabel is survived by her husband of over 67 years , Herbert C. Regels Sr. of Schenectady, her children, Herbert C. Regels Jr. of Amsterdam and Linda S. Robinson of Schenectady, a sister, Margaret Doran of Florida as well as 5 grandchildren, Jason Regels of Malone,NY, Brian Regels and his companion Christina Amell of Schenectady, Angel Bishop of of Schenectady, Candi LaFountain and her husband Rick of Mooers,NY and Lacy Regels of Amsterdam. and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday September 27th at 3 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY . Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 3 pm prior to the memorial service.
