Lynn M. Chilton

Lynn M. Chilton of Rotterdam, New York, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her immediate family, on July 30, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1967, in Port Jervis, New York. Lynn grew up primarily in Duanesburg, New York, where she attended Duanesburg High School and met the love of her life, Dean Chilton. Shortly after graduation, they married on November 16, 1985. Dean’s service in the U.S. Army brought them to Germany, where they began their family.

Lynn was the consummate planner, so it was no surprise that she spent much of her career as a project manager, largely in the healthcare field. She began her project management career at Prime Care Physicians in Albany, New York. She later became an independent consultant, working with notable organizations including eTransmedia, Adventist Health, Planned Parenthood, the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, Catholic Health East, Advisory Board, Bestpass, and Optum Health.

Yet Lynn would not want to be remembered solely for her professional accomplishments. Her greatest priority was always her family, especially her four beloved grandchildren to whom she was lovingly known as Nana (and for never saying no!). Throughout her life, she was an avid reader and was passionate about education and travel. She took tremendous pride in creating a warm, cozy home in which to raise her children and welcome family and friends for dinners and holidays throughout the years. Lynn will be remembered most for her great sense of humor, infectious laugh, and extraordinary strength.

Lynn is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Dean Chilton; her two children, Rebecca (Derek) Dunbar and Courtney Chilton; and her four grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Charlotte (9) and Henry (5) Dunbar, and Adelyn (9) and Mason (6) Shepler. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Graziano. She is also survived by her father, Ed Graziano; her siblings, April (Michael) Pisciotta, Michael (Martha) Graziano, Jody (John) Munroe; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, New York, on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at Lynn’s favorite restaurant, Max410 at The Waters Edge, 2 Freemans Bridge Road, Glenville, New York 12302.
