Louis J Polsik

Louis J. Polsik,93, passed away on Saturday afternoon June 2, 2018 at his home in Rotterdam surrounded by his family. Born in Hastings on Hudson, NY, Louis was the son of the late Martin and Mary (Hanak) Polsik and a graduate of Saunders High School in Yonkers. A World War II Army Veteran, Louis worked as a Line-O-Typist for the Gazette Newspapers for over 24 years prior to his retirement. A devote and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he was a member of St Gabriel's Church in Rotterdam. Louis is survived by his wife of 67 years Mildred (Macko) Polsik of Rotterdam, his children: Laura Tario (Joseph) of Guilderland and Gary J. Polsik of Saratoga Springs, his grandchildren: Joseph Tario, Joshua Tario (Amy), Jonathan Tario (Sheray) and Jeffrey Tario (Jennifer), his great grandchildren; Katy Lou, Tobias and Hudson and a sister: Elaine Cote of Texas. A celebration of Louis life will be held on Monday June 11th at 11am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Inurnment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer in Niskayuna, NY In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Louis memory to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
