Lois R Mccombie (Rausch)

Lois R. McCombie, 90, of Scotia passed away at Ellis Hospital on Saturday January 14, 2017. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Irene Rausch. A graduate of Albany high School,Lois was employed in accounts payable for the NAPA Distribution Center in Colonie for 15 years. A former member of the Eastern Star and former Girl Scout leader, Lois was also a member of the Happy Wanderers in Scotia and enjoyed all outdoor activities especially camping and swimming. Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Besides her parents, Lois was predeceased by her husband Charles Webster McCombie, daughter Karen McCombie, son Wayne McCombie as well as 3 sisters and a brother. Lois is survived by her loving children Kathy Bertasso (Peter) of Athens, NY, Gail Mahoney-Kurz (Michael) of Guilderland, and Glenn R. McCombie of Ballston Spa, her sister Eda Evensen of East Schodack, NY. Lois is also survived by 11 grandchildren-Brian Bertasso, Kevin Bertasso, Karen Bertasso, Nicole Linnell (Roy), Nannette Watson, Ashley McCombie Kent (Justin), Toni McCombie, Kelsey Mahoney(Jay), Courtney Mahoney-Spencer (Joe), Brittany Mahoney (Rob) and Kate DeThorne as well as several great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Lois will be Thursday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie.
