Linda A Volk

Linda A. Volk 64 of Schenectady died Wednesday afternoon August 8, 2007 at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born in Albany, NY, Linda was the daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy Cookingham. She worked at Ellis Hospital for over 20 years and was a Clerical Coordinator at the time of her death. . Linda loved her job and her co-worker's and enjoyed arts and crafts. Beside her parents, Linda was predeceased by a son Lawrence Lindstead, a brother Earl Cookingham and two sisters, Constance Clifford and Joan Collins. Survivors include two sons, Robert and Scott Shafer both of Schenectady, a sister, Elizabeth Moore of Valatie, NY and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning August 11, 2007 at 10:30am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening at the funeral home from 7 to 9 pm. Interment in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
