Linda A Phelps

August 24, 1948 — March 4, 2017

Linda A. (Van Patten) Phelps, 68, of Princetown passed away at home on March 4, 2017. Born in Niskayuna, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Gwendolyn (Lawyer) Van Patten. Linda was employed for 40 years as a Nurse at the Baptist Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Scotia. She loved visiting friends and gambling. Linda always enjoyed going out to dinner with her girlfriends. For Linda, family was number one and she took care of all their needs. She especially loved her grandchildren and her god child. Linda is survived by her son William Phelps of Schenectady, three sisters Patricia Van Patten of Princetown, Gloria Jasinski (Richard) of Princetown and Cynthia Aperance (Jeff) of Ocean City, MD. She is also survived by five grandchildren Robert Phelps, Rachel Phelps, John Phelps, Lia Phelps and Carmella Phelps as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda is also survived by her two dogs Ricky and Luke. A Celebration of Linda's Life will be Tuesday 7PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 6-7PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Linda's memory to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure PO Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265.
