Linda Irene Malgieri

Linda Irene Malgieri, 67, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Niskayuna, Linda was the daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn (Levey) Epting. A graduate of Schalmont High School, Linda earned her Associate's degree in Accounting from Maria College. Linda is retired from the New York State Department of Transportation and worked part time as a Bookkeeper for First Reformed Church of Schenectady. As a member of First Reformed Church, Linda enjoyed quilting, knitting, sewing, reading, traveling, gardening and home decorating. Her Shih Tzu's, Bigsby and Lila were so precious to her heart. Linda is survived by her husband of 24 years, John A. Malgieri as well as her children, Noelle Ricciardi (Craig) and Monique DePalma (Chris), her grandchildren, Addison and Maxwell, former husband, Robert Gleason, sisters, Shirley Epting and Crystal Mongillo (Donald), her brother Mark Epting (Barbara), nieces and nephews, Justine (Neil), Carissa, Braidon, Kimberly, Nathan, Nicholas, Christopher and great nephew, Leo. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 16 at 5pm at First Reformed Church of Schenectady, 8 N. Church St, Schenectady, NY 12305. Gathering of family and friends will be held at the church immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda's name can be made to First Reformed Church of Schenectady at the address above. Linda's family wishes to thank the skilled staff at Albany Medical Center's Neuro ICU for their kindness, generosity and sincere support during Linda's time there.
