Linda A. Kelly, 63, of Charlton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening March 8th surrounded by her loving family. She is now at rest after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

After graduating from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, Linda earned an Associate’s degree in Business from H.V.C.C. For 30 years, Linda was a Business Manager at the Center for Sports Medicine. Before retiring, she spent some years as a Medicare Accounts Specialist at Ortho NY.
In 2018, Linda married her knight in shining armor Brace Kelly in her fairy tale wedding. Linda is survived by her husband, Brace; her former husband and father of her beloved children Joseph G Albanese Jr; her children Peter Albanese (Tamara) and Kaita Albanese; her mother Eva Butler; step-children, Douglas Kelly (Kelly) and Teegan Aldridge (Dustin); grandchildren, Porter, Shaylyn, and Layla; sisters, Elaine Holley (David), Carolyn Scripter (David) and Susan Butler (Maribeth); sister-in-laws, Vanessa Farmer (Bruce) and Regina Gallagher (Jim) and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Francis and in-laws, Paul and Ruth.
Linda was most known as a strong, kind hearted and giving woman. She always placed the needs of everyone else before her own. She was a lifelong animal lover, with a passion for fostering kittens for the APF and caring for her own kitties at home. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, classic cars, raising Monarch butterflies, fishing, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Above all, Linda loved being a mother and grandmother.
A visitation to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on the evening of March 14th from 5 to 8 pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. A memorial service at First Presbyterian Church will be scheduled at a date and time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12302 or to the Save Our Monarchs Foundation, PO Box 390135, Minneapolis, MN 55439.
