Lillian Bartlett

April 29, 1927 — March 31, 2021

Lillian J. Bartlett, 93, formerly of Rotterdam passed away on Wednesday March 31st at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady.

Born and educated in Schenectady, Lillian was the daughter of the late Carmine and Carmella (DeCenzo) Liberatore and a graduate of the former Mont Pleasant High School.

Lillian worked for over 35 years in the accounting department at the General Electric Company in Schenectady. She was an active member of St Gabriel’s Church in Rotterdam, a member of the church’s women’s auxiliary and a former Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Abruzzi Society, the Red Hat Society and a former volunteer at St. Clare’s Hospital.

Predeceased by her husbands Louis Morraco and later John Bartlett in 2018, Lillian was also predeceased by her brother Frank Liberatore. She is survived by her step-children Robert Bartlett (Susan) of Colonie, Janice Clark (Philip) of Texas and Robin Phelan (John III) of Slingerlands, her sisters Mary Myers of Schenectady and Bernice Igo of Rotterdam, her sister-in-law Leora Liberatore of Glenville, grandchildren John Phelan IV, Kate Phelan, Kelsie Phelan(Rishi Malik) ,Benjamin Phelan, Wendy Fox (Matthew) and Deborah Ellis, great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A prayer services will be held on Tuesday morning April 6, 2021 at 9:45 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY followed at 10:30 am at St Gabriel’s Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, Schenectady, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A visitation for Lillian will precede the prayers starting at 8:30 am. (COVID protocols of masks distancing and capacities will be in place)

Entombment will be in St. Cyril’s Cemetery in Rotterdam, NY.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Lillian’s memory to St Gabriel’s Church or to Lustgarten Foundation, 415 Crossways Park Dr D, Woodbury, NY 11797.
