Lenora H. Countermine

Lenora H. Countermine, 83, of Rotterdam passed away on Sunday February 16, 2025 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Crawn) LaFreniere.

She worked as a bus driver for Schalmont School District, retiring after 35 years.

Lenora enjoyed camping. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Richard Countermine, her daughter Margaret Tenhoeve and her sister Mary Alexson. She is also predeceased by her granddaughter Shelby Countermine.

Lenora is survived by her children Richard Countermine (Deb), Dale Countermine (Rebecca), Stephen Countermine (Deb Zellan) and Randall Countermine, her brothers Albert LaFreniere, William LaFreniere, Jeffrey LaFreniere and Bryan LaFreniere, her sisters Elaine Kenfield, Karen Countermine and several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Lenora’s Life will be Saturday March 1, 2025 at 12 noon at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A Visitation will be from 10-12 prior.

Interment will follow in Schenectady Memorial Park.
