Lela M.Dreves Goebel, 94, of Princetown went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 4, 2012 . Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late John and Effie (Miller) Larkins. Lela had worked for the Schenectady Trust Company in Schenectady and was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Lela was active in the Church Sunday School and Women's Ministry at the church for many years. She is predeceased by her two husbands Alfred F. Dreves and Fred W. Goebel, one brother Merritt Larkins and one sister Esther R. Glennon. Lela is survived by three children-Alfred F. Dreves (Jody) of Lawton, Oklahoma, Jeffrey E. Dreves Sr. (Marlene) of Vienna, Ohio and Amelia Hallam (Sean) of Princetown, also survived by 6 grandchildren-Christopher Dreves, Susan Dreves, Jeffrey Dreves Jr. ( Sharon), Jennifer Halcomb ( Rick), Devin Hallam and Dana Hallam, also survived by 4 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, 5 Stepchildren Marie Wilsey of Ravena, Jackie Goebel of Rotterdam, Linda Marconi (David) of Interlaken, NY, Peter Goebel of Princetown, Eileen Kippes ( Kerry) of Montz, La, 6 step grandchildren and 4 great step grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Friday 5PM at Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church 3662 Giffords Church Road Duanesburg NY.. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Friday 3-5PM at the church. Internment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam. Contributions can be made in Lela's memory to the Music Ministry or Women's Ministry at the church. Arrangements are by the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady.
