Lawrence Pardi, 73, passed away on Tuesday December 7th after a long illness.
Born in Schenectady, NY, Larry was the son of the late John and Mary (Viscusi) Pardi and was a graduate of the former Draper High School.
An Army veteran, Larry served in Korea in 1970.
For over 40 years Larry was self-employed as an upholster, running several shops including Larry’s Reupholstering in Schenectady.
He was devoted to his family and his church, most recently attending the Calvary Reformed Church in Hagaman, NY. Larry was a past Commissioner with the Schonowe Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the O.F.C. Being a man of faith, Larry worked with the youth in the church and cooked at the church dinners.
Besides his parents, Larry was predeceased by his brother, John Pardi and brothers-in-law, Marcellus Laures and Mickey Mahon.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Joyce (Wilkinson) Pardi, his daughter, Lisabeth M. Pardi and her wife Emma Anderson of Boston, his granddaughter, Talula Pardi, his sisters, Mary Laures of Scotia and Geraldine Mahon of Schenectady, his sister-in-law, Patricia Pardi of Scotia, his sister-in-law Mary Jane Wilkinson and her husband Jim Regan of Scituate, MA, his brother-in-law Jay Wilkinson and his wife Maggie Wilkinson of Charlton, several nieces and nephews, and close friends Stanley and Pattye Craig of Rotterdam.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Saturday December 11th at 12 noon at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 11 to 12 noon prior to the service. Those who attend are asked to please wear a mask when in the funeral home.
Interment in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Larry’s memory to Calvary Reformed Church, 15 Church Street, Hagaman, NY12086.
