Lawrence Chamberland

Lawrence W. Chamberland 71 of Schenectady died suddenly at his home on Saturday April 7, 2007. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Earl and Antoinette (Hebert) Chamberland. A graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, Larry was an Army veteran. After his service in the military, he went to work for Schenectady Chemical and later worked for the General Electric in Schenectady. Lawrence retired from the General Electric Silicone Plant in Waterford, NY. He was a member of the ? century of the GE, the Rotterdam Elks and The Knights of Columbus. He was also a member and active volunteer at Immaculate Conception Church. He is survived by his beloved wife ,Angelina (Rossi) Chamberland who he married February 28, 1958, he was the cherished father of five children; Tina Battaglia (Joseph) of Niskayuna, Susan Hefker of Rochester, Lawrence Chamberland of Glenville, Monica Lucey-Runfola( Ross) of Niskayuna and Anthony Chamberland of Schenectady, loving grandfather of Christina Battaglia, Ann Marie Battaglia, James Hefker, Nicholas Hefker, Thomas Lucey, Joseph Battaglia and Dominic Runfola, brother of, Theresa Bergeron of Colonie, Lorraine Conahan of Schenectady, SISTER Rose Marie Chamberland of Cohoes and Arlene Chamberland of Schenectady , Earl Chamberland of Malta ,George Chamberland of Vermont and the late Howard Chamberland ,also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning 9:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave. ,Sch'dy followed at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Church , Bradt Street, Sch'dy where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 pm. Entombment in St. Cyril's Cemetery.
