Lauren Ashley Logerfo

Lauren Ashley Logerfo, age 33, of Rotterdam, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at her home, after a longterm illness. Lauren was a loving daughter, sister, and proud aunt.



Lauren was born on January 1, 1990 to her loving parents, Rich Logerfo and Dawn Ecker. After attending Ballston Spa High School, she went on to graduate from The University of Albany Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Art’s Degree. While attending Albany, Lauren worked in the Research Lab as a Neuroscience Lab Research Assistant.



Lauren loved to travel. She lived for her yearly cruises, seeing the world one exotic place at a time. Her love for animals grew with each trip and each new animal encounter she experienced. But nothing came close to her love for her two nieces and three nephews. Lauren’s greatest pride and joy was being an aunt. She told everyone she met about them. She would spend hours coloring, building forts, or playing games with them. They were Lauren’s entire world, and it showed in every picture she saved, every gift she gave, and every person she showed them off to. It gave Lauren true happiness to see other people happy, she truly had the kindest soul and would go out of her way to help another.



Lauren is survived by her grandfather, Larry Ryan of Kinderhook, her parents, Rich Logerfo of Amsterdam, Dawn (Brad) Ecker of Rotterdam; her sister, Arielle (Brandon) Yager of Mayfield; 2 step-sisters, Deena (Tom) Sisco, of Gloversville, and Krista (Charlie) Peterson, of Tribes Hill; 7 nieces and nephews, Jolee Peterson, Jude Peterson, Sophia Hill, Tucker Yager, Wyatt Yager, Waylon Yager, and Tenley Yager as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind her loving dog, Bella.



Lauren is predeceased by her brother, Joseph Ryan; her maternal grandmother Connie Ryan; her paternal grandparents Michael and Charlotte Logerfo; as well as her uncle, Russell Logerfo.



Please join us in celebrating her life Sunday morning August 13, 2023, between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12306. The service will begin at 12:00 p.m. After the service we will have a celebration of Lauren’s life at Schenectady Municipal Golf Course, 400 Oregon Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12304, at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
