Laura L Larrabee ("Laurie")

Laura (Laurie) L. Larrabee 64, passed away surrounded by her family and close friends on Monday evening February 26th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, Laurie was the daughter of the late Marvin and Iva (Warner) Larrabee, sister of the late Danny Donohue and a graduate of Galway High School. Laurie received an associates degree from Spencer Business Institute and worked for the Schenectady County Courts. She retired as a Senior Court Clerk in 2015 after 35 years of service. Devoted to her family, Laurie was a former volunteer with the Animal Protective Foundation, loved her kitties, feeding the birds, loved lighthouses and the ocean, especially trips to Hampton Beach. As a practicing Christian, Laurie also had an appreciation for Native American culture. Laurie is survived by her son; Jeffrey M. Larrabee and wife Lisa of Cape Elizabeth,ME, her granddaughters; Rosa Iva-Marie Larrabee and Kara Kilmartin (Chad), great grandson; Cooper Kilmartin, her sisters; Cynthia Larrabee of Guilderland, Marcia Donohue-McCoy of Ft. Johnson, Melissa Sievers (Jim) of Cooperstown, Linda Parker (Thomas) with children Megan and April of Schenectady, her brothers; Patrick Donohue and Robert Armer of Galway, her aunt; Laura Simpkins of Guilderland ,niece; Faith McCoy and nephews; Adam McCoy, Nathaniel Donohue (Amanda), Johnny Sievers and Dan McCoy. Laurie also leaves behind her two beloved kitties Forrest and Holly. Laurie also had very strong relationships with her cousins and close friends. A celebration of Laurie's life will be held on Saturday March 10th at 1 pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the funeral home from 11 to 1 pm prior to the celebration.
