Laura Decker

Laura (Lacomb) Decker 86 of Fernandina Beach and formerly of Schenectady died Tuesday May 10, 2005 at Quality Health Care. Born in Norfolk, NY she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary Lacomb. Laura worked as a senior account clerk for New York State in Albany, retiring in 1977. She lived in the Schenectady area for over 46 years, and then lived in Baldwinsville for 8 years before moving to Fernandina Beach. Laura was a member of Bellevue Reformed church in Schenectady. Laura was predeceased in 1983 by her husband William W. Decker. Survivors include two daughters; Eileen Romanzo and husband Michael of Mahwah, NJ and Carol Gardy and husband Anthony of Fernandina Beach, a sister; Ellen LaRouech of Massena, NY, five grandchildren; Michael W. Romanzo (Lori), Melissa Levinson (David), Gregory Romanzo, Jason Gardy (Laura) and Matthew Gardy, 3 great grandchildren; Jacob Levinson, Michael W. Romanzo Jr. and Asher Gardy and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:30 Am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. No Calling hours by request. Internment in prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland, NY.
