Larry F. Gannon

Larry Francis Gannon, 63, of Riverview, FL, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Larry was born in Schenectady, NY, to Alfred and Shirley (O’Brien) Gannon, and graduated from Linton High School in 1979.

Larry was a loving and caring person, who will be loved and missed by friends and family forever.

Larry worked much of his life at Rollarama Skating Center in Rotterdam, and was also employed by Lia Toyota in Colonie.

Larry was an accomplished competitive roller skater since the early 1970s and also enjoyed Disney, bowling, Nascar and Diamond Art projects.

In 2019, Larry married his lifelong friend, Lynda Ostrowski, in upstate New York, and later moved to Riverview, FL.

Larry is survived by his wife, Lynda Ostrowski of Riverview, FL, his sister Sharon Pieniazek of Schenectady, NY, his daughter Dianna D’Amico of Pembroke, NH, two grandchildren, Jack and Olivia, and nieces and a nephew.

Funeral Services will be held on April 4, 2025, at 11am, at Bond Funeral Home, located at 1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY.  Visitation will be held at 11am, with a Service at 12pm, followed by committal at 1pm at Schenectady Memorial Park, 566 Giffords Church Rd, Schenectady, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society or Hospice.
