Larry J Gallace

Larry J. Gallace,81, died Thursday morning August 13th at Ellis Hospital. Born in Inwood, NY, Larry was the son of the late Giuseppe and Raffaela (Namarato) Gallace. Larry graduated from Rutgers University with his Bachelors and Masters degrees in mathematics and applied statistics and also was a graduate of RCA Institute. An author of over 35 technical/quality articles, Larry taught courses on reliability engineering methods. Larry twice received RCA's highest technical honor, the David Sarnoff Award. A former President and Chief Operating Officer of General Electric Ceramics, Larry started Gallace Associates, a consulting firm from which he retired in 2005. Beside his parents ,Larry was also predeceased by his brother, Vic, Angelo and john Gallace. He is survived by his wife of 65, Marian D. Myrus Gallace who he married in 1950, his children, Craig Gallace (Debbie) of Auburn, Joseph Gallace of Signal Mountain, TN, Jane Kessler (David) of Rotterdam and Peter Gallace of Troop, NY, Brother, Peter Gallace of Camden, ME, grandchildren, Melanie Gallace (Brandon Burch), Rachel Kessler, Andrew Kessler and Larry Joseph Gallace, great grandson, Brandon Burch, nieces, Raffaela Gallace, Sarah Lawrence, Domenica Kraus and Maria Gallace and nephews, john and Gian-Angelo Gallace. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday afternoon August 20th at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY from 2:30 to 5 pm, Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
