Kurt J. Huba

Kurt (Butch) J. Huba of South Glens Falls, NY lost his battle with cancer on November 2nd of 2024 at Saratoga Hospital.  Kurt was born in Albany, NY.  He was the son of the late Earl J. and Marie E. (Breeding) Huba.

He was a graduate of the former Linton High School (Schenectady, NY) in 1979.  Kurt was last employed by Ruan Transportation Management Systems as a tractor trailer driver before the cancer.

Kurt’s greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle through the countryside and enjoying a meal out with family and friends.

He is predeceased by his sister, Katherine Muzzy and his cousin Dennis Breeding who was more like a brother to him.

Kurt is survived by his son, Vincent (Danielle) Huba of Glenville, NY and daughter, Regina (Jeremy) Lindemann of Clifton Park, NY.  He also leaves behind his brothers, Kenneth Huba (Marcy, NY), James (Janice) Huba of Schenectady, NY and his sisters, Debby (Larry) Storm of Clarksville, NY, Cindy D’Ambrosi of Ballston Spa, NY and Holly (David) Rexford of Schenectady, NY; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kurt’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff in the C3 wing of Saratoga Hospital for the care he received over the last month.  They want to thank his primary care, Dr. Michelle Ryan and his Oncology/Hematology Dr. John Mongan and Jean Van Auken, PA-C.
Funeral Services for Kurt will be Thursday November 7, 2024 at 1PM at the Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady.  A visitation will be from 11 am until 1 pm prior to the service.

Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Colonie, NY following the service.
