Kurt A Gerstenberger

Kurt A Gerstenberger, 60, of Rotterdam passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Schenectady, Kurt was the son of the late Helmut Gerstenberger and Marianne (Pfaffenbach) Gerstenberger of Rotterdam. Kurt was employed for many years at the meat counter at the Niskayuna Food CO-OP. Kurt loved the ocean and nature always taking time to enjoy his surroundings. He was an honorable man who put his family first, the needs of others before his own, and selflessly gave to multiple charities as often as possible to help many different causes which were close to his heart. Kurt was an avid sports fan closely following the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. Besides his loving mother, Kurt is survived by his two loving children, Diana Ceballos (Matthew) of Latham, NY and Jason Gerstenberger of East Greenbush, NY one loving brother Karl Gerstenberger of Mechanicville, NY and two loving sisters Lori Ann Saba (Jeff) of Voorheesville, NY and Diane Abbott (Patrick) of Rotterdam, NY. A Celebration of Kurt's life will be Sunday February 12, 2017 from 1-4PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
