Kim I Valentino

May 18, 1957 — March 17, 2021

Kim I. Valentino, 63, of Albany passed away at home on Wednesday March 17, 2021. Born in Niskayuna, NY, she was the daughter of the late John Minogue and Ivy (Chaplin) Quay (John Johnson) of Rotterdam.

She was a graduate of dental assisting school and was employed for over 40 years as a dental assistant. Kim was employed recently for the dental practice of Dr. David Kaplan DDS.

Kim was a loving and caring person who always had a smile and a calming presence to all she met. She helped everyone and was known as a go to person. Kim always put everyone ahead of herself and made lots of friends along the way.

She was passionate about vacations especially her time at Marco Island in Florida and riding her Jet ski. Kim loved the outdoors, exercise and flowers.

Besides her mother Kim is survived by her aunt Carol Presley (Raymond) of Florida, her step sister Debbie Escobar (Jorge) of Schenectady, her loving cousin Debra Schultz (Hank) of Colonie, her loving cousin Carol Lyons (John) of New Jersey and many other special cousins. She is also survived by her special friend Vincent Sfara of Albany, her godchild Tiera Powers of Schenectady and her former husband Domnick Valentino of Schenectady.

Funeral Services for Kim will be on Tuesday at 1PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A Visitation will be held prior from 12-1PM. Face masks and social distancing are required.

Interment will be in Woestina Cemetery in Rotterdam Junction.

Contributions can be made in Kim’s memory to the Animal Protective Foundation 53 Maple Avenue Schenectady, NY 12302.
