Ballston Spa

Kathy J. Seyboth, 67, of Ballston Spa, NY, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, generosity, and deep devotion to her family. Born in Providence, RI, she was the youngest child of Albert and Ida Thorne. Kathy devoted 35 years to the Center for Disability Services, where her compassion and dedication made a lasting impact on those she served.

Friends and family will remember Kathy for her warmth and for making everyone feel at home. She enjoyed singing, traveling, and spending time with Frankie, her cherished dog. Above all, she loved family gatherings, camping with friends, and caring for others—always ready with encouragement, a listening ear, and an open heart.

Kathy is survived by her children and stepchildren: Daniel Thorne of Indiana; Scott Seyboth (late Mae); Nathan Seyboth of Albany; and Jessica Mullen (Sean) of Ballston Spa. She is also survived by her sister, Cheryl Thorne; her brother, John Thorne (Karen); Donna Thorne; and her nephew, Kevin Thorne. A proud grandmother to Katerina and Saige Thorne, Kathy also lovingly embraced 12 of her husband’s grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her Aunt Marylou Anderson-Leonard and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Addison “Timmy” Seyboth; her parents, Albert and Ida Thorne; her mother-in-law, Leona May Seyboth; her brother, Kenneth Thorne; and her stepson, Vincent Seyboth.

Service arrangements will be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Kathy’s memory to a charity supporting individuals with disabilities, in honor of her life’s work and caring spirit.

Interment will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, where Kathy will be laid to rest beside her husband, Addison, a United States Army veteran. The date will be announced soon, with a family gathering to follow.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Bond Funeral Home for their guidance and support in making the arrangements.
