Kathleen Doris Rosin (Sharp)

April 13, 1924 — December 18, 2020

Kathleen D. (Sharp) Rosin 96, has passed on to be with the Lord on December 18th due to Covid 19 complications.

She was born April 13, 1924 to the late Albert Roger Sharp and Andree Loveland (Dowd) Sharp.

A graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, Kathleen was life long member of the Rotterdam United Methodist Church. An intelligent and hardworking woman with a sharp wit and sense of humor.

Kathleen was a former employee at the GE in the drafting and standards division, Bell Telephone Company as a switch operator and a substitute teacher at Mohonasen High School.

A devoted and loving wife to Frank William Rosin, whom she married August 1, 1948 until his passing on August 10, 2014. They spent many years together having their “French Bread Picnics”, antiquing, dining out, traveling and driving around in their many convertibles with each other and friends. Kay enjoyed her cowboy shows, watching the birds and squirrels (and the neighborhood activities), play cards, crossword puzzles, reading and throwing parties with music and a good martini. She also loved looking out at her beautiful flower garden while sitting on her back porch.

Predeceased by her husband Frank and her two daughters Patricia (Rosin) Kaczmarek in 2008 and Katine Rosin in 1950, a sister Beatrice (Sharp) Higgin, brother's Roger and Herbert, niece Maryann and many other family and friends.

Kay is survived by her grandson Kevin (Sabrina) Kaczmarek of North Carolina, great grandchildren Kaleb, Khloe and Luke, nieces Becky (Rudy)Torres of Arizona, Darlene (Greg)Swisher of California.

She will be missed by many.

Thank you to her neighbors, Barbara and Michael Hamilton, Edward and Marsha O’Toole for their many years of friendship, Also, thank you to Hospice, Chrissy’s Caring Companions, Janice Young Carter (Bill), Emily Chaires, Shontia Jennings, Tina Foote and Laurie Lumbra.

Graveside service at memory's Garden in Colonie will be held on Friday May 14th at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Rotterdam United Methodist Church.
