Katherine Zitzman

Katherine Zitzman, 81, originally from Long Beach, New York, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Katherine was a private woman who found joy in her many interests and hobbies. She enjoyed knitting, working with computers, and collecting unique and interesting items. She especially loved spending sunny days outdoors, whether tending to her garden or enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of the beach. She appreciated life's simple pleasures and enjoyed pursuing her interests in her own way. Katherine worked for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.

She is survived by her five children: Robert Webster Nesbitt and his children, Zachary, Katlyn, and Kevin; Susan Katherine Nesbitt; Elizabeth Sarah Perrigin, her husband Barry, and her son Stephen Michael Johnston; Anne Mary Nesbitt and her son Alexander Paul; and Ruth Cherry, her husband Scott, and her son Marcus Cherry. She is also survived by her sister, Miriam Chua, and her brother, Albert Zitzman.

Katherine will be remembered by her family and those who knew her.
