Katarina Wennerstrom

Katarina E. Wennerstrom 90 of Rotterdam died Thursday morning September 1, 2005 at the Avenue Nursing Home after a short illness. Born in Finland, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Elsie Westin. A former seamstress, Katarina was a homemaker and a former member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Katarina was predeceased in 1990 by her husband of 50 years Gunner E. Wennerstrom who she married November 11, 1940. She was also predeceased by a son Henrik Wennerstrom and a daughter Elizabeth Wennerstrom. Katarina is survived by her three daughters, Louise V. Tyrrell of Jacksonville, Fl, Christina M. Welcome and husband Donald of Chandler, AZ and Anita M. Piccirillo of Rotterdam, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening September 6, 2005 at 7 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 pm prior to the funeral service.
