Karen A Schlicht

Karen A. Schlicht, 66, of Rotterdam passed away on Tuesday October 31, 2023 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Cobleskill, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Grassini) Handy Sr.

Karen worked as a keypunch operator for NYS, was a popular Bartender for several local establishments and was a self-employed Home Health Aide.

Karen is survived by her three sons Jeffrey Schlicht, Erich Schlicht and Ryan Schlicht, her brothers John P. Handy Jr. (Cynthia) and Joseph Handy (Victoria) as well as five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be Wednesday evening at 7PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A Visitation will precede the service from 6-7PM.
