K Elaine Harrigan

K. Elaine (Penman) Harrigan 73 of Rotterdam died Wednesday morning June14, 2006 at home. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Marion Waytho. A homemaker, Elaine was a professional caregiver for many years. She was a member of Graceway church, a volunteer with the Salvation Army and the Home League, the Scotia Glenville Senior Citizens, Scotia Bocce league, the Schenectady Senior Bowling League, Happy Wanders Traveling Group, the Schownee Ladies Auxiliary. Elaine loved knitting, crocheting, crafts, the lord and serving him. Survivors include her husband of 21 years Matthew J. Harrigan, 4 children William Penman of Schenectady, Debra (Penman) Greco of Mechanicville, Stephen Penman (Jill) and Gail (Penman) D'Atri (Anthony) both of Martinez, CA, 2 step children, David A. Harrigan of Duanesburg and Linda Santigato of Mechanicville, 5 grandchildren, Katherine Greco, Jamie Greco, Hailey D'Atri, Marissa D'Atri and Gracie Rae Penman and several cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon June 17, 2006 at 1:30 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held Friday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 9 pm. Contributions may be made in her memory to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12309 or to the Salvation Army, 222 Lafayette St., Schenectady, NY 12308. Our sincere heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the entire hospice Staff and volunteers for their kindness, care and compassion.
