June S Walsh (Sharpe)

June S. Walsh,95, of Glenville passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday August 17, 2021. Born in Hudson Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Richard and Florence (Lamore) Sharpe.

She was a graduate of Glens Falls High School. June was employed as a bookkeeper for the former Jacobsen Furniture Company in Schenectady. She later became a home maker.

June was a member of the Melodeers, the Scotia Women’s Dairy League and the Edison Club. She was also a volunteer in public relations for Ellis Hospital for 27 years.

She is predeceased by her husband William P. Walsh.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care for their great care of mom.

June is survived by her son Timothy Walsh (Jeanne) of Schenectady, three grandchildren-Dawn DeGironimo (Larry), Sean Walsh (Heidi) and Heather Bender (Matt) as well as four great grandchildren-Maiah DeGironimo, Bryan DeGironimo, Avery Walsh and Dylan Walsh.

A Graveside service for June will be on Saturday August 28, 2021 at 10AM at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Kings Road in Schenectady.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in June’s memory to The Community Hospice Foundation 310 S. Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208.
