June Rose Donovan

June Rose Donovan, 89, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025. Born on June 2, 1935, June’s smile was like a warm and welcoming hug paired with her unwavering (sometimes stubborn) devotion to those she loved.

A proud mother to four amazing children—Timothy, Robert, Patricia, and Brian—June dedicated her life to nurturing not only her own family but also countless students over more than two decades at Iroquois Middle School. She had a remarkable ability to inspire and connect, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed paths with her.

June cherished her role as a grandmother and never missed a chance to spoil her beloved grandchildren, Laura and James. Whether it was summer days spent on Sacandaga Lake, cozy evenings in her recliner watching Mamma Mia or NCIS with Jim, or sharing stories with her siblings Dorthy and Henry, June embraced life with joy and generosity.

She is survived by her sons, Brian (Kathryn) and Bob (Leisha) Donovan, and her grandchildren, Laura and James. She is predeceased by parents Henry and Rose (Fekete) Wurth, her children Timothy and Patricia, whom she held close in her heart every day, her brother Henry Wurth and her sister Dorothy Cooper.

June’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched—with kindness, wisdom, and a whole lot of love.

Funeral Services for June will be Saturday April 12, 2025 at 12 noon at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be held from 10-12 prior

Interment in Viewland Cemetery in Rotterdam.
