Julia C. Shubert, 91, of Schenectady died Monday December 6, 2010 at the Avenue Nursing Home in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Skoda) Sitors. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady. Julia was employed as a Stenographer for the YMCA for 25 years, retiring in 1967. She was a member of the Crazy Mixed Up Bowling League. Julia was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Schenectady. She is predeceased by her husband John Shubert, one brother Stanley Sitors and one sister Kathryn Roberts. Julia is survived by her sister Marion Brantley of Wintergarden, FL, dear friend of Chuck Kearney of Schoharie, Keith Kearney (Noreen) of Schoharie, Michelle Kearney of Esperance, Gina Bianchi of Schenectady, Lisa and Paul Byrne of Cato, NY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Friday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be 10-11AM prior to the service. Internment will be in Park View Cemetery in Schenectady.
