Judith L. Jones (Foulke), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and servant of God, was called home on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Born on February 17, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, to William and Evelyn Foulke, Judy lived a life devoted to faith, family, and service. She graduated from South High School in 1960 and soon followed her calling into ministry, entering The Salvation Army School for Officer Training in 1962 as part of the "Heroes of the Faith" session.
Her journey in ministry took her across Ohio and New York, where she faithfully served alongside her husband, Clyde D. Jones, whom she met while stationed at the Training School. They married in 1970 and spent nearly four decades in service, bringing love, kindness, and unwavering commitment to the communities they touched. Together, they held 11 appointments, including in Schenectady, until their retirement in 2009.
Judy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother to her son, Erik S. Jones (Jaye Jones), and a cherished grandmother to Owen and Maxwell. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Clyde, her sister, Lynne Psaute (Frank Psaute), and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her brothers, Charles and William, and her sister, Jacqueline.
Her life was one of purpose and grace, marked by quiet strength, unwavering devotion, and a deep love for others. Though she has left this earthly home, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she impacted. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
