Joyce Lynn Weldon (Stekeur)

Joyce Lynn Weldon (Stekeur), 51, passed away Monday evening, January 9th, at Capstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Amsterdam, NY. Born in Niskayuna, Joyce is the daughter of Wilma (Mathias) Stekeur of Rotterdam and the late James C. Stekeur, Sr. A graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, Joyce worked for the NYS AIDS Institute for more than 15 years. She loved her cats, Molly and Jetta, and enjoyed reading, playing cards, and watching TV. Besides her mother, Joyce is survived by her sisters: Sandra DeLorenzo (Patrick) of Guilderland and Susan Wright (Gerald) of New Salem and her brother: James C. Stekeur Jr. (Sylvia) of Burnt Hills, as well as 4 nieces and 4 nephews. Funeral services will be held private at the convenience of the family. Interment in Viewland Cemetery will be in the spring.
