Joyce K. Brockway

Joyce Brockway, 81, of Rotterdam, passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Rotterdam, she was the daughter of the late Leland and Florence (Countermine) Kelly.

She was employed for many years as a School Secretary for BOCES at Maywood School. In her spare time she enjoyed volunteering for Hospice.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She lovingly supported her grandchildren at all their sporting events.

She loved to travel and especially to Walt Disney World and Ocean City, NJ.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 59 years James Brockway, her daughter Jill Squires (Jeff), her son Jeff Brockway, her sister Barbara McGarry (George). She is also survived by six grandchildren-Dan Squires (Caitlyn), Ryan Squires, Kaylie Squires (Mike Church), Robert Brockway, Justin Brockway and Levi Brockway as well as a great grandchild McKenzie.

Funeral Services for Joyce will be on Friday February 2, 2024, at 10AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 5-7PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland.
