Josephine Strenka

Josephine Strenka 95 formerly of Strong Street, died Thursday January 8, 2009 at Kings Way Arms Nursing Home. Born and educated in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Strenka and was also predeceased by her brother and sisters. An employee of the General Electric Company in the Turbine Department, she retired with over 35 years of service. Josephine was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and a member of the former Sacred Heart St Columbus Church. She is survived by her nieces Bonnie DePalma (Frank) and Barbara Rice, Joan Thuotte and nephew Michael Strenka all of Rotterdam and several cherished great nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday January 17, 2009 at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY Interment will follow in St Adalbert Cemetery, Rotterdam.
