Josephine Higginbotham

Josephine M. Higginbotham, 64 formerly of Schenectady died Wednesday evening December 12th at Kingston Hospital. Born and educated in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Josephine Van Buren and a graduate of Linton High School. A homemaker, Josephine worked for Hallmark Nursing Home in Schenectady for several years. She had a love of music and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly A. Vandenburg (William) of Schenectady and Sherry J. Higginbotham of Albany, her grandchildren, Amber Simone, Nathan Higginbotham, McKayla Higginbotham, Martia Higginbotham, Ayesha Higginbotham and Victoria Lainhart. Josephine is also survived by 10 brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning December 17th at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 to 11 am prior to the service. Interment in Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady, NY.
