Joseph P Maddaloni

Joseph P. Maddaloni, 94, of Schenectady passed away Wednesday September 26, 2012 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Domenico and Angelarosa (Cervera) Maddaloni. Joseph was employed as a machinist for 42 years for the General Electric Company, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Schenectady serving as an usher and a Eucharistic minister and was a member of the St. Paul's Men's club. Joseph was also a member of the St. Joseph's Leisure Club, the Knights of Columbus and the GE Quarter Century Club. He is predeceased by his wife Mary DeLorenzo Maddaloni whom he married June 24, 1945, one sister Clementine Delefano and three brothers Anthony Maddaloni, Frank Maddaloni and James Maddaloni. Joseph is survived by two sons Joseph A. Maddaloni (Sharon)of Schenectady and Richard N. Maddaloni (Nancy) of Mechanicville, four daughters Joanne M. Hallaran (David) of Altamonte Springs, Fl., Marilyn Maddaloni-Taber ( David) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Debbie Struffolino ( Tony) of Schenectady and Rosemary Shaver ( David) of Delmar, also survived by 7 Grandchildren-Eddie Szczepanik, Michelle Szczepanik, Angela Gleischner, Brendan Shaver, Brittni Quinlivan, Ashleigh Shaver and Gabrielle Shaver, 3 Great Grandchildren-Evangeline, Tyler and Arianna, two special caregivers Katina Sarris and David Clay. Funeral Services will be Monday 8:15AM at Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at 9AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church 2733 Albany Street Schenectady.. Calling Hours will be Sunday evening 5-8PM at the funeral home. Internment will be in St. Cyril Cemetery.
