Joseph Michael Lazzari Jr., 45 of Saratoga Springs, entered the Kingdom of God suddenly at his home on Wednesday October 13th due to a massive Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage.
Born and educated in Schenectady, Joe was the son of Joseph M. And Susan (Mongin) Lazzari Sr. and was a graduate of Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady.
A former member of the 109th Airlift Wing Air National Guard Unit in Scotia, Joe worked as a driver for Dickson’s Farmstand Meats for over 11 years. He was an essential part of the organization, running the supply chain and maintaining the company's fleet of vehicles.
An avid cyclist, Joseph especially loved riding with his dad. He loved all sports especially baseball and basketball, and all things Saratoga including the Victoria Pool Association. Joseph was devoted to his family and loved his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother and father, Susan and Joseph Sr., Joseph is survived by his grandmother Theresa Mongin of Schenectady, his brothers and sister, Michael A. Lazzari (Stephanie) of Saratoga, Theresa A. Lazzari (James G. Puorto) of Niskayuna and Matthew Charles Lazzari of Palmetto Florida as well as his nieces Grace Anne, Alana Tomasina, Charlotte Anne and nephew Jack Anthony. Throughout his life Joe was surrounded by the most amazing and loving extended family and many friends. Left to grieve are his Aunts Michelle, Maria and Kathy and his uncles, Chuck and Samuel as well as a host of cousins and friends. He was the salt of the earth, a kind and gentle soul- loved by many.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Tuesday October 19th from 10 to 12 noon at St John the Evangelist Church, 816 Union Street, Schenectady, NY followed at 12 noon at the church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
