Joseph Lafore Jr.

Joseph LaFore Jr., 97 of Schenectady, passed away on Sunday February 4, 2024, at Fulton Center Nursing Home.

Born in Albany, New York, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph LaFore Sr. and Lillian (Stammel) LaFore.

Joseph proudly served his country in The United States Army.

He worked as a warehouse worker at A&P Warehouse for many years and later became a lock keeper for the NYS Canal System. In his spare time Joseph enjoyed going fishing.

In addition to his parents, Joseph is predeceased by his loving wife Marilyn LaFore and his daughter Lori Van Auken.

Joseph is survived by his daughters, Shari Degele and Debra Cohen along with several stepchildren. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Services for Joseph will be held privately.
