Joseph "Joey" Henderson

Joseph "Joey" Henderson 50, died suddenly Monday night February 9, 2009 at the Ellis Hospital McClellan Campus. Born and educated in Schenectady Joseph was the son of Barbara (Krajewski) Henderson and the late Leo Grafton Henderson Jr. As the operator of the Blythwood Tavern for thirty years, not a member of his extended family had to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion in their lives alone. His one passion in his life was to spend time with his family, especially his Grandmother Susan Krajewski who he loved and adored. Joseph was a friend to all. He took you under his wing and made you part of the family. He is survived by his best friend and mother, Barbara Henderson of Schenectady, his grandmother Susan Krajewski of Schenectady, the love of his life and longtime companion Rosemary Panetta, his brother John Henderson (Beverly) of Rotterdam, his two sisters Melissa Pedone (Richard) of Guilderland and Kimberly Henderson of Schenectady. Joseph is also survuived by his loving nephew, Dominick Fretto, the entire Panetta family, and one niece. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning February 13th 11am at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Calling hours which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Thursday evening February 12 from 5-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Joseph's memory to the Alzheimer's Association Capital District Chapter 85 Watervliet Avenue Albany, NY 12206.
