Joseph Galuski

Joseph Galuski 74, passed away suddenly December 30,2018 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY

Born and educated in Troy, Joseph was the son of the late Leo and Anna (Pappas) Gaunay and a graduate of Catholic Central High School.

A former member of the Army National Guard, Joe was a former employee of Sterling Drug in East Greenbush, NY for many years. After the company closed, Joseph went to work in automotive sales at Wedekind Motors until his passing.

A member of St John the Evangelist Church in Schenectady, Joseph was an avid gardener.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years Barbara (Cavanaugh) Galuski who he married December 1st of 1978, his sister; Antoinette F. Oswald of Wynantskill, NY, brother-in-law; Richard Cavanaugh of Fredericksburg, VA, his 3 nieces and 5 nephews; Linda Slavin, Lori Cicciari , Lisa Danaher, Michael Danaher, Daniel Danaher, Leo Danaher, Theodore Oswald and James Oswald and many great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning January 5,2019 at 8:45 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY followed at 9:30 am at St John the Evangelist Church, 802 Union Street, Schenectady, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A visitation for Joseph will be held on Friday evening January 4th from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be in St. Josephs Cemetery in Schenectady.
