Joseph C. Febbie, 91, of Rotterdam passed away on Friday July 27, 2018 at St. Peters Hospice Inn surrounded by his loving family. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Febbie. He was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady. Joseph served his country in the Marine Corps from 1945-1946. Joseph was employed as a machinist for 25 years for the General Electric Company in Schenectady, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Rotterdam Elks. Joseph was also a life member in the Iroquois Rod and Gun Club and the Marine Corp League. Joseph was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Colandra Febbie, his two brothers John Febbie and Walter Febbie and his sister Dorothy Mayer. He is survived by his two sons Mark Febbie (Susan) of Colonie and Michael Febbie of Poughkeepsie. Joseph is also survived by five grandchildren Jennifer Terrezis, Michael Febbie, Justin Febbie, Andy Febbie and Joshua Febbie, and six great grandchildren-Talia, Chloe, Michael, Magdalena, Alexander and Ava He is also survived by his cat Matilda. Funeral Services for Joseph will be Monday August 6, 2018 at 9:15AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at 10AM at St. Gabriel's Church 3040 Hamburg Street Rotterdam. Calling hours will be Sunday August 5, 2018 from 5-7PM at the funeral home. Internment with military honors will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
