Joseph Angelo Camardello was born in Little Falls, New York on November 6, 1956 and passed away peacefully on July 28, 2014 at his Rotterdam Junction, NY home with his family at his side. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Camardello, his wife, Linda Camardello, two daughters, Jessica Camardello and Brittany Rickard, son-in-law Jeffrey Rickard, brother, Michael Camardello, Raul Ramos, and the first grandchild (to be born in October of 2014), William Joseph Rickard. Joe is pre-deceased by his father, Angelo Michael Camardello who recently passed away on March 26, 2014 and his beloved dog, Nimo. Joe devoted the first half of his work career as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and retired in 1999. Joe served in three wars, the First Gulf, Invasion of Grenada and the Persian Gulf War. Joe was a helicopter mechanic and worked on military attack helicopters. Joe had a second career in the family pet distribution business, Sharon's Distributors, Inc., and when it was sold, went to work for National Grid for the past 11 years. Joe was very charismatic. Everyone loved his smile, sense of humor, quick wit, strong sense of work ethic, and his honesty. Joe loved his "three girls", Linda, Jessica and Brittany. That was always his top and most important priority. Joe loved to fish Chinook salmon in Alaska. He loved his home in Rotterdam Jct. and spent as much time as possible with family and friends. He loved swimming in his pool, motorcycling, cooking, watching the St. Louis Rams and FOX news, spending time with his dogs/cats, and gaming online with his international aviation buddies, better known as Aircav. We will miss our son, husband, father, brother and friend. Services will be held at Bond Funeral Home located at 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY . Visitation, open to friends and family will be held on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Joe will be laid to rest on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Road Schuylerville, NY.
