In Loving Memory of Jose A. Gonzalez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving Father, Grand-Father and Great-Grandfather, Jose Antonio Gonzalez.

Jose Antonio Gonzalez was born in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico, on July 24, 1939, to Jose and Rosa Gonzalez. He passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024. He warmed our hearts with his stories, laughter, and love.

He shared most of his life with his devoted partner Frances J. Margolla for over 50 years. Together they built a loving home where they created a warm place filled with stories, jokes and laughter that will last a lifetime.

Jose loved spending time at home tending to his garden and feeding the birds and squirrels that showed up to his home daily with a single whistle. You would never see him without his four-legged companions Noah, Rocky and Snuggles who he loved dearly. He enjoyed the company of others; he always had a story to tell or memory to share. His selfless acts of helping others always made him smile and gave him happiness. He created an enormous family that extends to 22 children,a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren who he loved all tremendously.

Jose is predeceased by his parents, life partner Frances J. Margolla, his son Jose (Tonito) Gonzalez Jr. and Grandson Victor (Ricky) Gonzalez.

Jose is survived by his children, Lindell Gonzalez (Rose); Joseph (Manny) Gonzalez his children Michael, Joseph and Yaritza; Henry Gonzalez his children Derrick and Vivianna; Julian (Jansy) Gonzalez and his son Anthony; Linda Gonzalez (Robert) and their daughter Isabella; Tony Gonzalez and his children Destiny, Alicia, Tony Jr. and Elise; Victor (Louie) Gonzalez (Karen) their children Tyler, Lyric and Victor Jr.; Nilsa (Moya) Velazquez (Rafael) their children Iesha, Nasia and Rafael Jr.; Michael Gonzalez (Jennifer) his children Larissa, Lainey (La India), Ethan and Devin; Jose (Junito) Gonzalez his children Dominic and Nathan; Edgar Gonzalez (Michelle) and their children Chastity Baez, Kirstin, Edgar Jr and Angelena; Jose Gonzalez (Janet) and his children Justin, Julian and Jazlene; Glenda Smiley her children Adrian and Tiara; Jasmine Nirres Gonzalez; Norberto Gonzalez (Jesabel) their children Aryanna, Julian, and Norberto Jr.; Edwin Gonzalez (Christina) and their children Edwin Jr, Maylyne, and Elias; Leodell Gonzalez (Abbey) their children Sirenity, Mason and Leodell Jr.

And many great grandchildren.

Visitation for Jose will be on Sunday October 20, 2024, at 2pm-4pm at Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady NY
